The mastermind behind the show, Palki Malhotra, who has previously created successful shows like Dill Mill Gayee and Dill Dostii Dance, shared insights with Zoom into the development of this particular narrative. Malhotra revealed that the queer romance storyline was introduced in the show's second season and reached maturity in the subsequent one. Expressing her satisfaction, she stated that she had long desired to showcase the " Gay boy love genre" and was pleased to have successfully integrated it into the series.

I knew it was going to achieve the main character vibe. Even people, not just normal people but also the LGBTQIA+ community accept stories like these because it is coming directly from the heart and love is gender-neutral."
