তেওঁ লগতে কয়, ''মই উচ্চতম ন্যায়ালয়ক অনুৰোধ কৰিলোঁ আৰু তেওঁলোকক অনুৰোধ কৰিলোঁ যে যদি নেপালৰ দৰে দেশ এখনে সমান অধিকাৰ দিছে তেন্তে ভাৰতে তেওঁলোকৰ কাষত থিয় দি তেওঁলোকৰ পছন্দ আৰু যৌনতাক জীয়াই থকাৰ আৰু সুখী হোৱাৰ অধিকাৰ দিয়াৰ সময় আহি পৰিছে''।

Sandeep Singh made his debut as a director with 'Safed'. The film was released on Zee5 on December 29. It stars Meera Chopra, Barkha Bisht, Abhay Verma and Chhaya Kadam in key roles.

Producer Sandeep Singh made his debut as director with 'Safed'. The film which premiered on Zee5 on December 29 shows the love story of a widow (Meera Chopra) and a transgender (Abhay Verma). 'Safed' has reportedly triggered a controversy in certain conservative countries and the authorities have called for a ban on streaming of the film as per their LGBTQ guidelines.

‘ছাফেদ’ই দৰ্শক আৰু সমালোচকৰ পৰা মিশ্ৰিত সমালোচনা লাভ কৰিছে।  সন্দীপ সিঙে এই বিতৰ্কৰ প্ৰতি প্ৰতিক্ৰিয়া প্ৰকাশ কৰি কয় যে, "সমাজে আওকাণ কৰা এটা নিৰ্দিষ্ট শ্ৰেণীৰ লোকক বাস্তৱ প্ৰদৰ্শন কৰি কণ্ঠদান কৰা মোৰ ছবিখন যেতিয়া কেৱল আপোনাৰ ক্ষমতা আছে বুলিয়েই দমন কৰা হয়, তেতিয়া মোৰ দুখ লাগে। কিছু দেশৰ সাধাৰণ জনতাই কিন্তু চাবলৈ বাদ দিলে ।"  তেওঁলোকে কি চাব বিচাৰে সেইটো সিদ্ধান্ত লওক। চেফেড হৈছে সৰলভাৱে কোৱা এটা সুন্দৰ প্ৰেম কাহিনী। মই নাজানো ইয়াক কিয় কিছুমান বিশেষ দেশত নিষিদ্ধ কৰা হৈছে।"

‘Safed’ has received mixed reviews from viewers and critics.  "I am saddened when my film, which shows the reality of a certain section of society that is ignored by society, is suppressed just because you have power. But the general public in some countries stopped watching it," Singh said.  "  Decide what they want to see.  Safed is a beautiful love story told simply.  I don't know why it's banned in certain countries."

In an interview, Sandeep revealed why he chose such a sensitive subject to make his directorial debut.  He said: ''I chose this because I knew that nobody could choose this kind of subject, actor or character.  Because in Bollywood, people only want stars, projects or films that will do well at the box office and give them money.  As a producer, I’ve never looked at the box office.  Yes, that only defines success in the minds of business people but filmmakers like me are very sure what stories to tell through cinema, the biggest medium of messaging.  Through my films, I want young people to realize what kind of good jobs they can take if they look and follow the right path.  Through Chafed, I want to make sure people don’t disdain transgender people for being ‘third gender’.  Please don't do that.
